Another blog from Mae!! It's been a while...I spent this last month in Chicago with my fiance Justin. I went back to Chicago Uptown Ministry for the month to volunteer so I wouldn't have to sit around the house all day. Had a good time there, and it was good to see my ministry "family" again.

We went to the Blues Fest, and that was a lot of fun. We also saw many movies during our month together: Saved, Hellboy, Ella the Enchanted, Shrek 2, Fahrenheit 9/11, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban....

We went to Springfield one weekend to visit Justin's mom, and had an "adventure." My car's alternater went kaput on the way, and we had to pull over in Pontiac, IL to have it fixed. Luckily we left Chicago when we did, because the service station was still open. We stopped at a gas station to find out where a service station was, and it was right behind the gas station, which was lucky, because then the car wouldn't start again, so it was towed over, and luckily it was a chevy dealership, so they had the part right there, and they fixed it right away, and got it done just before they closed up shop for the weekend. All of this luck put together and the fact that my car is now fine made the fact that it cost $350.00 almost okay...

We came up to St. Paul last Friday and went to the Chahassen Dinner Theatre to see Annie with my sister Shannon and brother-in-law John. They had bought me a gift certificate for Christmas, so we were finally able to use it. It was a lot of fun, and the show was very good.

Sent Justin off on the bus yesterday, and he was delayed 3 hours because of an accident on the road ahead of his bus, but he made it back to Chicago okay, but really late.

Well, that's the update for the past month...I'll be trying to post more often here, so keep checking!!

Peace...
